If you do not know what Influenster is, it is a website where you review products and can actually test out products for free based on your social media influence. It's a fun place to look for new products and share your experiences.
Back in December I received the St. Ives Holiday Voxbox from Influenster. Inside the box I received three products which include: the Refresh & Revive Pear Nectar & Soy Body Lotion, the Nourished and Smooth Oatmeal Scrub & Mask, and the Even & Bright Pink Lemon & Mandarin Exfoliating Body Wash.
I want to make some things very clear first. I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing and reviewing purposes. All thoughts and opinions are my own and have not been swayed because of free merchandise.
With the Refresh & Revive Pear Nectar & Soy Body Lotion, I was not very impressed. It is your standard basic lotion. For me there was no amazing or memorable scent, instead it was quite generic. The lotion itself softens and soothes your skin but it does not last for long, especially if you have dry skin. If you do have dry skin get used to reapplying this lotion very frequently.
The one product that surprised me the most was the Nourished and Smooth Oatmeal Scrub & Mask. I have been searching for a new face mask for the longest time and I think this St. Ives mask is a perfect candidate. The oatmeal scrub and mask felt amazing on my skin and it was so relaxing to wear. You wear the mask for 5-7 minutes and then you rinse off. This mask was so relaxing I lost complete track of time and ended up having it on for ten minutes and the extra time did not do any damage to my face. My face can be very sensitive but this mask did not irritate me at all. After washing off the mask, my face was super soft.
Last but certainly not least there is the Even & Bright Pink Lemon & Mandarin Exfoliating Body Wash. This body wash smells amazing, well it is amazing if you enjoy citrus scents. The smell reminds me of pink lemonade and summer. The body wash is refreshing and gives you a fresh clean feeling. When it comes to this body wash, less is more. You don't need a lot to get the job done and feel clean.
This was my first time trying St. Ives and overall I'm very impressed with the quality of some of the products. The lotion was unimpressive, but the mask and body wash were great surprises. Maybe I'll start using St. Ives products when it comes to my daily beauty routine. What do you think about St. Ives? And what are your go to daily beauty products?
Until next time.
